About the event

Critically-acclaimed vocal ensemble Luceat invites audiences to At the Evening Hour, an atmospheric programme of unaccompanied choral music exploring themes of reflection, home, hope and the close of day.

Featuring music by Stephen Paulus, Hubert Parry, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Arthur Sullivan and others, the programme weaves together Renaissance masterpieces with twentieth- and twenty-first-century classics, culminating in Parry's epic Lord let me know mine end.

Performed in the beautiful surroundings of Suffolk's historic churches, At the Evening Hour offers an hour of exquisite choral singing as daylight fades, bringing together music of both sacred contemplation and quiet human warmth.

Luceat has established a reputation for imaginative programming and performances of exceptional musical quality, with singers drawn from many of the UK's leading professional choirs.
