JAMES FELLOWS

James Fellows is Artistic Director and founder of Luceat, and Assistant Organist at Radley College. With Luceat he directed the first student-led performance in Oxford of Bach’s Mätthaus Passion. Their two recordings have received critical acclaim and featured on BBC Radio 3. At Radley, James plays a significant role in curating one of the country’s largest organ departments, as well as accompanying the schools renowned chapel choir in daily services. James’s doctoral research at the University of Oxford looks at the choral and liturgical tradition of San Petronio, Bologna during the 16th century.James has held the positions of Master of Music at Pusey House and Graduate Organ Scholar at Trinity College, and most recently as Assistant Organist at Somerville College. He has performed in venues across Europe and the UK on tour and recordings with the choirs of Keble College and St Giles’ Church, notably in the Basilica of St Francis of Assisi and Notre Dame de Paris. He regularly gives recitals, recently at Christ Church Cathedral, Blenheim Palace and Cirencester Parish Church. James is an Associate of the Royal College of Organists, studies conducting with Hilary Davan Wetton and organ with William Whitehead .
