VIDIMUS GLORIAM EIUS: A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols for Christmas

Luceat Choir, James Fellows (Director), Laurence John and Rory Moules (Organ)

A testament to communal strength and resilience, this carefully curated collection of carols and readings marks the return of Luceat to music-making in a world forever touched by the COVID 19 pandemic. Uniting the music of the Christmas season with its liturgical contexts in the stunning acoustics of Oxford's Keble College Chapel, this Carol Service offers a meditative and solemn take on the captivating Christmas story.

This CD is dedicated in particular to the courageous staff of the NHS, who have selflessly placed themselves in harm's way on the frontlines of the pandemic, in an effort to preserve human life. The recorded lessons are largely read by members of the Oxford Vaccine Group, who devised the widely utilised ChAdOx1 vaccine, as part of this effort.
