We're delighted to announce the release of our debut CD, Assumpta est Maria, and to share the album artwork with you!
The beautiful painting featured in the image is from the Oratory of San Michele in Padua, Italy. A series of late 14th-century frescoes by Jacopo da Verona depict the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, from her own nativity, through the Incarnation, crucifixion and finally to her own Assumption and Coronation as the Queen of Heaven.
The CD will drop on Friday 14th May, and will be the first recording released on our own in-house record label, HYMNUS Records. The recording was made in August 2019 in the Guild Chapel of the Holy Cross, Stratford-upon-Avon. Stay tuned on our website or social channels for more details!
